Nick ClaxtonPASTOR
In 1 Corinthians 14:40, the apostle Paul commands that all things in the church be done “decently and in order.” All of God’s works — from Creation to His continued governance of the world to our personal salvation — demonstrate His infinitely wise order. Yet many Christians’ prayer lives demonstrate extreme disorder. Such believers may approach prayer with good intentions and perhaps even excitement. They find, however, that their prayer lives are distracted and lacking direction.
That’s why I’m so grateful for Ruth Bumgardner’s prayer notebook. Ruth’s prayer notebook includes a number of thoughtfully prepared prayer lists to enable daily structure in the believer’s time with the Lord. Additionally, the notebook includes several customizable tools that will enable the Christian to tailor the notebook to his or her own prayer life. I use the prayer notebook on a daily basis, and it is an invaluable tool in my personal walk with the Lord. As Ruth’s pastor, I can tell you that each of these notebooks has been prepared by someone with a great love for the Lord and a deep burden for prayer. I would recommend the prayer notebook to any Christian seeking focus and direction in his or her prayer life. |
